Following these steps to disable stop the CD ROM from automatically running
- Open registry editor.
- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\Cdrom.
- Right click on AutoRun String and select Modify.
- Change the value to 0.
- Click OK.
