Windows XP will prompt for the installation CD. To facilitate the process, you can copy the i386 folder on the CD to you local hard drive and change the registry, so that XP will look for them automatically.

1. Open regedit (registry editor)
2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion.
3. On the right pane, double click string value “Source Path” and change the value to the correct i386 folder (eg. D:\i386 to E:\i386).
4. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup.
5. On the right pane, double click string value “Source Path” and change the value to the correct i386 folder (eg. D:\i386 to E:\i386).
6. Close regedit.
