How to Enable or Disable Hibernation in Windows Vista

With the following tips you can enable or disable hibernation in Windows Vista.

  1. Click Start, All Programs.
  2. Right click on Command Prompt.
  3. Click on Run as administrator and then click Continue.
  4. In the command prompt console, type “powercfg –h on” (or “off” without the quotes) and hit the Enter button.
  5. Done.
