A bot is an important thing that a computer uses when on the Internet. A bot is an application that works to run automated activities for maintenance and protection when the user is on the Internet. There are some instances of where bots can be dangerous. So, how can you tell if your computer is bot infected? You can find out when you follow the tips mentioned here. How can you tell if your computer is bot infected? You can find out by seeing if your Internet activities have been involuntarily restricted. There are various different types of bots that can be dangerous to a computer. Some bots will cause denial of service attacks to take place. This is where the user who is trying to get it to work cannot access a resource that is on a computer. It will be impossible for you to access certain websites on the Internet. This is one of the main ways of how can you tell if you computer is bot infected.

How can you tell if your computer is bot infected? You can tell if there is a good amount of computer viruses that are found on your computer during a virus scan. Even though a typical antivirus program will update itself often and do automatic scanning and protection, there can be instances where new viruses can sneak onto your computer that are not listed in the definitions that your computer program has. Many malicious bots will have these new viruses on them, so you should especially watch out for these when you are online.

Home Page Hijacking and Browser Helper Objects

Internet Explorer has a way for a website to add itself to the list of favorites.  It’s a feature Microsoft added so that websites can have a button that says “Bookmark This Site!  Just Click Here!”

Now, if that’s all that particular feature did, then there wouldn’t be any malware concerns over it.  Unscrupulous programmers have taken advantage of it to create Home Page Hijackers. In a nutshell, a Home Page Hijacker is a program that reaches into your browser and changes your homepage…without your permission.  You might think, “That’s easy enough to fix, just change my homepage back and everything is fine.”

Is It Safe To Download Computer Software From The Internet

People always ask is it safe to download computer software from the Internet. The answer to this question is that it is safe to download the software as long as a few considerations are identified. Sites that are legitimate should be considered, and sites that have reviews of software available are especially going to be good to look into. So, is it safe to download computer software from the Internet through a file sharing program? The answer to this is generally no. This is because while file sharing programs can be used to transfer files from one person to another there are some concerns to look into regarding these sites. Some of the files that may be offered for free on one of these sites may contain viruses or adware that will infect the computer.

One of the questions people also have is “Is it safe to download computer software from the Internet from any site?” This is not something that should be done on just any ordinary site. Some places may offer free versions of programs and products that are available on the market at a cost. While this may sound like a really great offer there will be more trouble involved than there will be reward.

What Is The Difference Between Windows and UNIX Web Hosting?

Windows and UNIX are in fact two different systems and of course we are referring to computer systems. 101 tips to improve your web presence

  1. If you’re launching a new site, or new content, write an introduction and submit it to share sites like Digg, Reddit and Now Public.
  2. Create a Yahoo Group in the niche your site sits.
  3. Create a MySpace account and use it to publisise your site.
  4. Bookmark your site on Del.icio.us and if you’re really keen, add a Del.icio.us button to your homepage.
  5. Create a Technorati account and “claim” your blog.
  6. Submit your site to free, search engine friendly directories. An excellent list can be found here.
  7. Conduct a survey. This is an excellent way to generate offline publicity.
  8. Place a free ad for your company on Gumtree.
  9. Syndicate your site’s content by using an RSS feeds.
  10. Submit your RSS feeds to agregator sites like FeedBurner, Squidoo, Feedboy, Jordomedia, FeedBomb, FeedCat, rssmad, feeddirectory and feedfury. Stolen from DigitalPoint
