The Windows key is the key with the Microsoft Windows logo on 104 and 107 key keyboards, located between the Ctrl and Alt keys. The key is generally used as an accelerator key, in order to make certain repetitive tasks in the Windows shell environment accessible by keystroke.

Below list of shortcuts that you can use for faster access to menu commands.

• Windows Key + E,  Opens a new Explorer Window.
• Windows Key, display the Start Menu.
• Windows Key + D, minimizes and restore all windows.
• Windows Key + F, open the Find all files dialog box.
• Windows Key + L, lock your Windows XP computer.
• Windows Key + M, minimize all windows.
• Windows Key + Shift + M, restores all previously open windows to how they were before you Minimized them.
• Windows Key + R, display the Run command.
• Windows Key + F1, display the windows Help menu.
• Windows Key + Pause/Break, displays the Systems Properties dialog box.
